The Bretton Wood Ski Team is an independently-run, non-profit organization dedicated to the development of junior skiers. The program is designed for competent skiers with an interest in improving their skills while leaning the fundamentals of ski racing. The Ski Team’s home base is the Bretton Woods Ski Area located on Route 302 in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. The mailing address of the Team is P.O. Box 263, Twin Mountain, NH 03595. The Bretton Woods Ski Team is not intended as an alternative to ski lessons. Each prospective team member must have the requisite skills required for ski racing. Prospective members for the J-V level must be able to turn and stop properly. All prospective members will be invited to ski with the team and screened by the coaches before joining the Team.
The mission of the Bretton Woods Ski Team is to train young people to ski well and race competitively at the highest level each individual member is able to attain.
The Bretton Woods Ski Team is primarily funded by fees paid by the team members, fund raising of the team members, and the on-going support of the Bretton Woods Mountain Resort. Additional operating funds are supplied by the net proceeds from Team-sponsored ski races and other corporate sponsors.
The Bretton Woods Ski Team has its own building located at the base of the Brettons Wood trail. This building is used as a team assembly place for each training and race day. It is the Team’s base of operations.
